Seyi is a seasoned professional with well honed expertise spanning strategy, analytics, business development, financial services, market research, business consulting and merger/acquisition. He was until recently, Client Services Director with TNS Nigeria where he had business development + P&L responsibility, managing research teams working across diverse sectors and clients like MTN, NBL, MasterCard, InterSwitch, Wema Bank, First Bank, Google, Airtel, Arla Foods, Total Nigeria, PZ, OLX, Lagos State Government etc. Prior to this, he was Head of Strategy & Business Development for RMS Group (with operations in 3 continents), where he developed group wide operational policies, strategy road map and was instrumental to the eventual merger with TNS Global. Seyi was also head of Product Research and deployment with Access Bank, with jurisdiction covering the parent bank in Nigeria and its African subsidiaries – his team also developed the bank’s first ever product compendium. Michael has a record of success in leading a large Regional Sales organization and operationalizing brand strategies for a portfolio of growth brands and a variety of new-to-the-market products; while at RJ Reynolds USA + Brown & Williamson Tobacco USA. He also has track record of delivering share and profits –with expertise in crafting trade investment strategies. This ability is further under pinned by solid B2B and B2C exposure with success in key accounts management and building relationships/synergies across business platforms. Abiola is an experienced research and business analyst with a track record of self-starting and proficiency. She has worked in different capacities – full time and freelance basis, for different organizations. Most recently a senior research executive in the qualitative arm of TNS Nigeria, where she developed strong expertise in social research but also worked across other sectors, namely FMCG, Finance, Telcos, Oil and Gas etc. Abiola also previously had stints as lead research executive at Sesema PR a leading PR agency in Nigeria, as a consultant on a DFID sponsored initiative (SLGP) etc. A thoroughbred business accelerator, she has conducted feasibility studies for new companies, offered strategic advice on investment ideas, acted as a connector between organizations as well as made recommendations on organizational optimization. Abiola is a style connoisseur, with a keen interest in fashion; having a penchant for shoes, dresses and accessories – she runs part time, a retail distribution chain that focuses on these items.

Nwakego is an Africa economics and policy specialist. She has extensive experience doing research for multinational companies like Johnson and Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb, WPP and Mobile Telecom Networks, (M.T.N.) amongst others. Nwakego has co-authored two books on Africa business and trade. One of the books, Redefining business in the new Africa (2011) was launched at the World Bank. She also occasionally writes about Africa Security Policy. Her work has been used for Africa focused research. She is a media commentator and analyst for sub Sahara economics policy. In addition to her work for Afribiz, she has also written for the Canadian council on Africa and Euromoney amongst others. She has a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Eastern Michigan University. She is currently finishing up her doctorate degree at the University of Nigeria - her research focus is Health (sub Sahara Africa focused) and Infrastructure economics.
